Tourist Guy a Hoax?

After the 9/11 attacks a photo started going around. It showed a "tourist guy" several seconds before the attacks occurred. The photo was supposedly found in a camera in the rubble of the world trade center. The image quickly became viral not only getting national but also international attention. The picture caused many to question weather it was real or fake because the tourist seemed unaware that a plane is just seconds away from hitting the building. After the image of the plane by itself it was revealed that indeed the image had been altered. There are various clues that state the picture was not real. One being the camera wouldn't survive such a huge fall. Two being September 1, 2011 was warm day and the clothes "tourist guy" is wearing is not ideal for that day. Another reason is that the plane on the image is a Boeing 757 where as the plane that hit the tower was a 767s. After its was revealed it was a hoax the internet humor did not stop right there. Tourist Guy was used in many other historical events such as the RMS Titanic, JFK assassination and the Hindenburg disaster. Tourist guy became viral that his name was revealed to be Peter Guzli. Peter had taken a picture during his visit at the World Trade center a few years prior the attacks. After hearing about the attacks he opened up a program and started to edit and emailed it to a few friends. Peter Guzli says "This image was a joke meant for my friends, not such a wide audience."
